What is Asthma?
Asthma may be a chronic lung disease which causes breathing difficulties and affects sufferers to varying degrees, asthma is caused by swelling and inflammation of the bronchial tubes, sometimes in reaction to allergens, exercise, stress or changes in temperature. Symptoms of asthma include breathlessness, coughing, wheezing and a sense of tightness within the chest. The symptoms vary consistent with the frequency and severity of the disease. Asthma isn’t usually curable but are often controlled to some extent, counting on how it affects the patient. The asthma are often controlled and therefore the patients can live relatively in normal livelihood.
Asthma is controlled by prevention medication for chronic symptoms and relief medication for flare-ups of asthma symptoms. Proper education and understanding are keys to regulate asthma effectively, which may be fatal if not managed properly. World Asthma Day educates and raises awareness of the condition within the hope of relieving suffering and reducing deaths.
